The Pompidou Centre, Paris

The Pomidou centre is located in the 4th arrondisment in east central Paris. The project was put forward to Piano and the Rogers couple to design a building in an architectual design competition in 1971. 6 years later the building opened its doors on the 31st of January 1977. the building recieved positive feedback with many saying the radical design of that time had flipped the architectual world on its head. It was famed for its innovative design which consisted of the entire structure showing its skeletal design on the exterior of the structure and showing all the small details of the pipes and wires that made up this marvellous building. the different componants that made up the building were initally coulour coded though that recently changed with many componants being painted standardly white. the Pompidous' impact revolutionized museums, changing them from not only just monuments, but to places which were rife with a new social and cultural feel in the heart of the capital. the building seemed to change the concept of the museum making it more modern and cooler which in turn attracted a wider and younger audience, many being students studying in the city at the time.
The reason  this logo works so well is becuase of its target audience. Harribos target audience are general aimed for children 12 and under, so the image of a happy boy holding a sign with the company is a really clever images which relates well to children. the logo looks fun and happy which intises children to buy into their product. for this particular logo i feel its real strength is the way it relates to its audience of children.
I think the colour is what makes this McDonalds logo stand out so much. the golden arches of them M against the red really catch the viewers eye and the simplicity of the design helps the target audience recognise the logo instantly.

Brand research - 'Nike'

The nike tick logo has become one of the most recognised symbols in modern culture. I think this is due to its simplicity. the simple tick lodges itself easily in the viewers mind and allows the viewer to recognise it with ease. The tick also has a positive connotation which sends a positive message through to its audience. The whole curve and cleanliness of the swoosh is very asthetically pleasing and as a result makes it a successfully easy to notice design.
