Sydney Opera House, Sydney

The image on the left is an original blueprint of the actual concept design of the Sydney opera houe. The architect Utzon recieved the Pritzker prize in 2003, a prestigious award in the architectual world. Completed in 1973, the Opera house is a multi purpose building mainly based on hosting events of performing arts. Its architectual style moves it more towards modern expressionist design due to its abstract look which consists of those incredible enormous shells that make the roof. the Opera  house took 14 years to construct starting in 1959 and finishing in 1973; it is today one of the iconic images and buildings of the 21st century bringing millions of tourists to sydney every year. the building is a cultural attraction for people as its many shows are diverse and some of the most well known in the world.
